2023 - Let Compassion Be our Compass

Stand in Solidarity and Act in Love

Date

“If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.”

– Lilla Watson

These words were used by Lilla, Aboriginal Elder and Activist, to set out a challenge for people working towards social justice. Since then these words have inspired and guided many people in the pursuit of equality and human rights.

I invite you to a rally this Sunday to Stand in Solidarity and Act in Love. Come and learn about working together for social justice – for truly, our liberation is bound together.

In partnership with CC4D:BLM… There will be a march to Harmony Park in the Oakhurst Village business district for a rally at 2:00pm.

Assembly Points:

– Atlanta Friends Meeting, 701 W. Howard Ave, Decatur, GA 30030
– Oakhurst Baptist Church, 222 East Lake Drive, Decatur, GA 30030
