Six degrees of separation is the idea that all living things and everything else in the world are six or fewer steps away from each other. You should try it. In fact, if I tell you about something that happened in Somalia two weeks ago, do you think you would be less than 6 degrees away from knowing someone personally affected? Well, if you know me you’re just 2° away.
It wasn’t covered on many news outlets and didn’t pop up on social media. But, in the midst of much tragedy in the world, there was a deadly bombing in Somalia. This Sunday we gather with many who are 1° away. Please read our community statement and join us as you can in solidarity with our global community.
When one of us hurts we all hurt. And “when we love each other the world wins.” –Coleman G. Howard.
Join us this Sunday to stand with our neighbors and on Thursday to be together at the Compassionate Atlanta Benefit. There are still tickets and we’d love to see you as we decrease the separation that sometimes takes over in our lives.
