Have we told you our exciting news? Compassionate Atlanta has an awesome new office space! We are now part of the Legacy Park community in Decatur! Legacy Park is the site of the old United Methodist Children’s Home. Now this 22 acre spot is being cultivated by the city of Decatur as a multi-use community. There are walking paths, event spaces, a new inclusive playground, a renovated dairy barn for events, fields, a lake, Truckin’ Tuesdays with food trucks in May…and the list goes on.

Legacy Park has welcomed nonprofits to share this space and be part of this new and growing community- L’Arche Atlanta, PaintLove, Refugee Women’s Network, Global Growers and more! So, we’re making our space here.

And as you can see – all are welcome! 😊❤️🌸🌻🎈🧡🌺

And now that we are part of this fabulous new family of neighbors, we planning some self-care spaces, too. There are already beautiful grounds to walk through and picnic areas galore. Now, thanks to Serenity Healing Arts volunteering their time and energy, we setting up a yoga studio and meditation space for the folks that work at Legacy Park. Our instructor Susanne is on it and we are transforming the space as we speak. So stay tuned for updated photos.

I invite you to take a look at your space. Find some joy. Maybe a get a bunch of flowers or a potted plant. Even cut greenery from outside can make a lovely addition to a table. I hope you get some time for self care and a safe and calm space to recharge. Of course, Legacy Park is always here for you.
