A Great Turnout for
Under My Hood: A Benefit for Compassionate Atlanta

“When we love each other the world wins.” -Coleman G. Howard

We had such a beautiful event last night at the first benefit Compassionate Atlanta. Thank you to Coleman and all of the Under My Hood presenters. The voices of our common humanity were proudly displayed. There was strength and vulnerability, humor and tears, joy and pain. There was life. And there was breath.

Filled with gratitude.

As my yoga teacher, Sarah, said this morning, “I’m just here to make suggestions, but the practice is yours.” Those words rang so true as I thought about last night and the mission of Compassionate Atlanta. We are here to make suggestions… To be examples… Just show you the poses that are possible – in our hearts, minds and bodies.

We are grateful to be on this journey with each of you. Thank you to those who planned, performed, cooked, served, donated, and all who joined us for the evening.

Taking deep breaths and basking in the light of community. This journey is only possible because of you.
